Paul Caica was elected to the South Australian Parliament as the Member for Colton in 2002.
After the 2006 election, Paul was appointed to the Cabinet and Executive Council as Minister for Employment, Training and Further Education, Youth and Gambling, and was appointed Minister for Science and Information Economy in February 2007.
Paul attended Henley Primary and Henley High Schools, before graduating from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Arts in 1985.
Prior to his election to Parliament, Paul was a firefighter for almost 20 years.
Between 1991 and 1997, he held the full-time position of Secretary of the South Australian United Firefighters Union and between 1998 and 2002 he held the position of National Secretary of the United Firefighters Union where he represented Firefighters on a national basis.
Paul is married with two sons.
